London to Edinburgh

We checked out of the Richmond Hill Hotel and headed to Heathrow for our one hour flight to Edinburgh. We collected our rental car at the airport and headed for Kirkhill Manor which is about 30 mins drive south of Edinburgh. Accomodation was difficult to find as we arrived during the Edinburgh Festival. After checking in we headed into Edinburgh where the traffic (both vehicle and pedestrian) was hectic to say the least. We found a car park and enjoyed taking in the sites and sounds of the festival while enjoying some local fare before wandering down the Royal Mile and checking out the various entertainers.
